GRUG Forums
In less than a month we have had over 1500 members join and participate in the community forums. Please take a look for yourself and interact with your fellow members. The posts so far have covered a wide range of topics from Change and Release Management to Process and Portfolio Management.
GRUG Council Elections at RSDC
During RSDC, GRUG will be hosting a number of events, among them will be a Birds of a Feather session on Tuesday, June 3, at 1pm. Please stop by as we will be holding elections for the GRUG Council board. All members are welcome to submit their nomination for the board by sending email to : t.dizdarevic@groupintelligence.com

GRUG Council Member Highlight: Carson Holmes- Leader OCRUG & LARUG
Carson Holmes is an IT management consultant with over 20 years of software engineering experience. In 1996, Carson first partnered with Rational Software as an instructor of OOA&D and Rational Rose. Carson's passion for process and his professional attitude has elevated his consulting career from software development to IT Governance.

Currently, Carson Holmes is the UALM Services Manager for Noblestar Systems, Inc., and helps numerous clients achieve their IT Governance and process improvement goals, with pragmatic process, policy, and metrics. Carson regulary works closely with IBM to provide industry feedback on RUP, RMC, WBM, Jazz, and the Green Thread project.

Carson is the President of the Los Angeles Rational User Group and the Orange County Rational User Group, and sits on the Global Rational User Group Council. Carson will be presenting twice at the Rational Software Development Conference in June, with colleague and friend Barry Snyder. Their two presentations are titled, BPM11 - Optimizing Process with RMC & WBM, and PPM23 - A Tale of Two Case Studies: Realizing Enterprise Process with RMC.

Outside of work, Carson enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, mountaineering, and playing music.

New UG - Connecticut Rational Users Group
Joseph Noonan and Jessica Nocerino of IBM started a new Connecticut UG in the spring. They held a meeting on May 6th and are looking forward to more events in the upcoming year.

The IBM Rational Support web team is really looking forward to meeting you at the IBM Rational Software Development Conference 2008! We have much great news to share - new support tools, updated content and a new support site! Plus, we want to hear your feedback and discuss how we may improve our offerings. You'll be able to find us easily during the entire week! We'll be at the VoiCE event on Sunday; in the Solutions Center and Tech Preview area in the exhibit hall Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (look for the IBM Rational Support blimp!); and finally, we will be hosting a "Client Self Assist Birds of a Feather" Tuesday night from 6:30PM to 7:30PM in the Southern Hemisphere III ballroom!
