Julian Holmes is a Co-founder of Unified Process Mentors, an alliance of small international consulting companies, which share a common vision for software development process, jointly working in the industry and with clients to improve software delivery capability. Julian owns the UK operation, and has been a software development consultant for over 10 years, during which time he has supported a number of major international clients, from sectors including consulting, government, finance, and industrial. In recent years, Julian has become a renowned expert in the use and implementation of the Rational Unified Process, presenting regularly at IBM Rational events including the last 6 Rational Software Development Conferences, and providing his expertise and feedback to IBM Rational as part of the invitation-only Methods Client Advisory Group. Julian leads the 450 member UK Rational User Group (UKRUG), organising regular full-day events around the country, and currently sits as an Executive Vice President on the Global Rational User Group Council.
